DK Pool Club raise $800 for Trekking4Nepal
DK Pool Club, a club run by students for students, from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst displayed wonderful generosity on Wednesday June 3, by hosting an event with all proceeds going toward Trekking4Nepal.
It was a bitter cold evening in Bathurst but that didn’t stop 70-odd students from attending the event which was held at The Eddy. “All up we raised $800″, said DK Pool Club President Gus Flanery.
Both James Tatham and Jack Thomson attended the event, and were please with the efforts of the event attendees. “We’re stoked that DK devoted this night to our cause”, Jack mentioned. “Every little bit helps, and at the end of the day it’s all going toward those affected by the Nepal Earthquake”, he added.
Trekking4Nepal are planning on organising many more events to help reach our ambitious goal of $85,000, and to see the same spirit and support that we have witnessed so far.
