Trekking4Nepal diversified their fundraising efforts back in August 2016 – we tried our hand at burgers by entering the Grill’d Local Matters campaign at Belconnen, ACT. To cut to the chase, we won and $300 was raised to go toward Nepal Community Rebuild Projects. Stoked!
Here’s how the process went down…
We submitted an application June 1st 2016
Our application was accepted June 9th 2016
On August 1st 2016 we received a message that our time was now!
August 15th we were told it was a hot contest for the major prize… We had to eat more burgers!
After a nervous wait, on September 1st we were announced victorious! Hallelujah
Overall, I was a simple and fantastic process to participate in the Grill’d Local Matters campaign. I’d like to thank Grill’d Belconnen for having us and I’d like to thank the Canberra community as a whole for getting behind us in August.
The last, but very not least thing; as an extra gesture of our appreciation to Grilled Belconnen Trekking4Nepal are hosting a Long Lunch at 3pm this Sunday the 13th of November. Detail of the event can be found here.
