I’ve organised a Nepalese Cuisine and Trivia night November 26th from 6:30pm at The Hungry Buddha Belconnen to raise awareness for Trekking4Nepal, the REACH for Nepal Foundation and funds for community rebuild projects in Nepal.
Tables are available for 6-8 people; it would be great if you could come – click attending at our facebook event if you’re keen!
Cost is $40.00 per person – $20 for 2 courses and $20 goes towards rebuild projects.
Why Nepal? In April 2015 I spent 18 days trekking the Annapurna Region with my Dad and his good friend Ross. See the video below for a review.
Just 3 days after I returned, earthquakes killed over 8,500 people and caused widespread devastation which was heavily publicised.
As a result – I pledged to start trekking for Nepal and Trekking4Nepal was born. Since then I have raised over $17,000; grown a facebook community over 1000 people; and trekked over 500km in some of Australia’s greatest National Parks. I even had 85+ people come “Metro-Trekking” with me in Sydney!
More information about my journey can be found at the Trekking4Nepal website.
Cheers – James
